Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
I do not work directly with insurance. This allows me to offer a more private, flexible, and individualized approach to care, without the constraints often required by insurance companies.

For some clients, I can provide documentation for potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan.
Why do you choose to be a self-pay practice?
Working outside of insurance allows me to focus fully on the quality of care and the needs of each individual client. This includes longer or more flexible sessions when appropriate, greater privacy, and the ability to tailor our work without restrictions on diagnosis, session frequency, or treatment approach.

For many of the people I work with, this creates a more thoughtful and effective therapy experience.

What makes your approach different?
My practice is intentionally small, which allows me to offer a more personalized and high-touch approach to care. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all model, I work collaboratively with each client to understand their unique context, including the interaction between mental and physical health.

This approach is especially helpful for individuals navigating complex or overlapping challenges, where more individualized attention can make a meaningful difference.

What kinds of concerns do you typically help with?
I work with individuals who want to make meaningful, lasting changes in their health, wellbeing, or daily functioning, but feel stuck in doing so.

This often includes concerns related to stress, health behavior change, chronic illness, mood, and sustaining follow-through over time.

You can find more detail about common areas of focus on the homepage.

Do you offer in-person therapy?
I currently offer therapy exclusively through secure telehealth (video sessions). Many clients find this allows for greater consistency, less travel, and easier integration into busy schedules.

How quickly can I be seen?
Because I keep my caseload intentionally small, availability varies. I respond to inquiries promptly and will share current scheduling options when you reach out. When openings are available, initial appointments are often scheduled within a few days.
Do I have to be ready to make a change for this to work?
Not necessarily. Many people begin therapy feeling unsure, conflicted, or discouraged after past attempts at change. Exploring that ambivalence is often a meaningful and productive part of the process.

Do you collaborate with concierge or specialty medical practices?
Yes. Many of the clients I work with value individualized, relationship-based healthcare and are receiving care through concierge or specialty medical practices.

My practice model is intentionally similar, with a small caseload and a focus on highly individualized, collaborative care. When helpful, I coordinate with medical providers—with your written permission—particularly when behavior change, treatment adherence, or adjustment to medical conditions is part of the work.
